NAQS Recruitment 2026 Update: Physical Screening Requirements Released for Shortlisted Applicants

The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has released an important public notice regarding the requirements for the upcoming Basic Paramilitary Physical Screening Exercise.

Following several enquiries from applicants about the screening requirements, NAQS has informed all candidates who successfully pass the Computer-Based Test (CBT) stage that they must present the required items during the physical screening exercise.

Applicants are advised to prepare all necessary materials before reporting to the screening venue.

NAQS Physical Screening Requirements

Successful candidates are required to come with the following items:

1. Two (2) passport photographs.

2. Certificate of Medical Fitness from a certified government hospital:

   • Original copy.

   • Three photocopies.

   • Candidates are advised to ensure they are medically fit, including being free from malaria.

3. Two pairs of white shorts and round-neck T-shirts.

4. A pair of white trainers/canvas/sneakers.

5. Pop socks/long socks.

6. Mosquito repellent and mosquito net.

7. Laboratory cloth.

8. Socks requirements:

   • Black socks for shoes.

   • White socks for canvas and sneakers.

9. Warm clothing in overall black or dark green colour.

10. Complete cutlery set:

• Plate.

• Spoon.

11. Writing materials.

12. Waist pouch.

13. Bedsheet and pillowcase.

14. Black trousers.

15. Blue jean trousers.

Personal Appearance Guidelines

NAQS also provided important instructions regarding appearance and personal items:

• Male candidates must maintain a clean-shaven face.

• No hair attachments are allowed for both male and female candidates.

• Long dangling earrings, bangles and anklets are not allowed.

• Only:

  • Simple pin earrings.

  • Wedding bands.

  • Wristwatches.

Candidates should also note:

• Long nails are not allowed.

• Brightly coloured nail polish is prohibited.

• Only minimal makeup is permitted.

• Headphones and earbuds are not allowed during training drills or exercise routines.

Prohibited Items During Screening/Training

Applicants are advised that the following items are not allowed:

• Electric boiling rings.

• Any form of heating appliances.

• Other prohibited personal equipment.
