El-Ezhar Care Initiative is a women-led national NGO dedicated to humanitarian aid and sustainable development with a focus on women and children. They operate in areas such as:

• Health & Nutrition
• Education
• Food Security & Livelihoods
• WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene)
• Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution
• Climate & Environmental Sustainability
• Protection, especially on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)

Currently, they are implementing a UNICEF-supported project in Adamawa State.

Available Position: Human Resource Officer

Job Summary

Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, contract management, performance tracking, and ensuring HR compliance with internal policies, donor rules, and Nigerian labor law.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations:

• Maintain HR database and staff records
• Monitor attendance, leave, and contracts
• Prepare and renew contracts
• Handle exit procedures

Administration & Compliance:

• Ensure policy compliance
• Manage salaries, advances, and payslips
• Support audits and documentation

Recruitment:

• Ensure transparent hiring processes
• Document recruitment properly
• Conduct onboarding

Training & Coordination:

• Identify and support staff training needs
• Collaborate with different departments

Requirements

• BSc/HND in HR, Public Administration, or related field
• 2–5 years HR/Admin experience (NGO experience preferred)
• Certifications like CIPM, NIM are a plus
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of humanitarian/NGO sector
• Experience with donor-funded projects
• Fluency in English and Hausa (or other local languages)
• Strong reporting and communication skills
