Job Opening: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (M&E) – New Incentives, Nigeria

Organization Overview:
New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is an evidence-driven organization dedicated to increasing childhood vaccination rates in Nigeria through incentivized cash transfers to caregivers. Operating mainly in 11 Northern states with low immunization coverage, New Incentives is committed to accountability, integrity, and excellence.

Job Summary

The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will support New Incentives' next growth phase by enhancing high-quality M&E systems following a recently completed randomized controlled trial (RCT) that showed significant vaccination improvements. This role focuses on ongoing impact monitoring and data-driven decision-making in Nigeria’s northeastern states, especially Jigawa, Taraba, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, and Yobe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze statistical data from health facilities and generate regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Collaborate with research partners on impact monitoring development
  • Conduct data quality audits and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Visit health facilities to address data reporting gaps
  • Maintain and improve M&E frameworks and data verification systems
  • Support data-driven program design and expansion decisions
  • Train staff on data management and participate in stakeholder meetings
  • Supervise enumerators conducting field surveys
  • Represent New Incentives in Health Management Information System (HIMS) and related forums
  • Communicate and manage security risks for field staff

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, including 2+ years in health data management
  • Proficient in DHIS, HMIS, SPSS, Microsoft Office, and health information systems
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys
  • Strong data analysis and report writing skills
  • Knowledge of local context and security in northeastern Nigeria preferred
  • Ability to manage teams and work independently
