Farmers Yield Africa, an Agritech startup based in Kaduna, is dedicated to supporting smallholder farmers by promoting Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA). The organization helps farmers improve their yields by providing access to quality farm inputs like fertilizers, seeds, and chemicals, while also building market linkages. They are currently seeking qualified young graduates for the following roles:

• Operations Officer
• Agronomist

Key Responsibilities:

• Train smallholder farmers on CSA techniques, including drought mitigation, conservation agriculture, and integrated pest management tailored to local needs.
• Empower women and youth in agriculture by designing specialized training programs that address their challenges in accessing inputs, finance, and markets. Use demo plots and digital tools to enhance learning.
• Develop school and institutional programs by partnering with agricultural schools and vocational institutes to integrate CSA modules and set up demonstration farms.
• Identify and onboard government and NGO partners including Ministries of Agriculture, extension services, and international donors to align with national CSA policies.
• Build partnerships with private sector players, cooperatives, agribusinesses, input suppliers, financial institutions, and off-takers to support input supply, credit, and market access.
• Manage last-mile distribution of verified seeds, fertilizers, and crop protection chemicals to farmer groups, women’s associations, and youth clusters.
• Create market access channels by connecting farmers with reliable off-takers such as processors, retailers, and exporters, ensuring quality and negotiating agreements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of BSc, HND, or OND in Agriculture, Microbiology, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
• Strong leadership, management, and presentation skills.
• Good computer and ICT skills.
