Recruitment of Project Staff by Child Protection and Peer Learning Initiative (CPPLI)

The Child Protection and Peer Learning Initiative (CPPLI) is a national non-governmental organization focused on improving the lives of vulnerable children (especially girls) and women affected by humanitarian emergencies. Operating mainly in Northeast Nigeria (Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states), CPPLI works on Protection, Health, Nutrition, Education, and Governance.

CPPLI strictly enforces a zero-tolerance policy against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA). All candidates must comply with CPPLI’s PSEA Policy and will undergo thorough background checks.

Objective of Recruitment

To hire qualified candidates to provide quality case management and psychosocial support services, strengthening the team for effective program delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of University Degree, HND, ND, OND, or NCE in related fields.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CPIMS+ Primero application.
  • Strong understanding of child protection in emergency settings (CPiE).
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent English communication.
  • Fluency in local languages is mandatory.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues and manage multiple tasks.

Available Positions & Key Roles

1. Protection Officer

  • Manage gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response activities.
  • Provide survivor-centered case management and community sensitization.
  • Coordinate referrals and maintain confidential records.
  • Train staff and community members on protection and psychosocial support.

2. Case Management Assistant

  • Support case managers by handling assessments, case plans, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain confidential client files and enter data into case management systems.
  • Facilitate service referrals and provide basic counseling.
  • Prepare reports on case trends.

3. Information Management Assistant

  • Collect, validate, and manage project data.
  • Maintain databases and prepare reports and dashboards.
  • Map project activities and support mobile data collection tools.
  • Train staff on data tools and ensure data protection policies.

4. Protection Assistant

  • Provide administrative and technical support to protection units.
  • Facilitate community engagement and case management for GBV survivors.
  • Organize focus group discussions and support community protection teams.
  • Monitor protection interventions and report on activities.

5. Security and Admin Assistant

  • Manage office administration and security protocols.
  • Handle visitor reception, correspondence, and office logistics.
  • Monitor security systems and maintain records.
  • Support safety training and staff onboarding regarding security and safeguarding.
