In Nigeria, MSF France collaborates with the Federal Ministry of Health and other institutions, focusing on health responses in Jahun (Jigawa), Katsina State, and Abuja.

Job Purpose

Support the Watsan Manager by implementing and supervising water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities adhering to MSF standards to improve the health and living conditions of target populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with MSF protocols on water supply, sanitation, vector control, and waste management
• Supervise WATSAN stock inventory to ensure continuous availability
• Manage and supervise Watsan and logistics staff
• Participate in coordination meetings, including WASH Cluster meetings
• Conduct outreach, assessments, and exploratory missions
• Prepare Situation Reports (SitReps) and assessment reports
• Plan and facilitate training sessions for Watsan and logistics teams
• Support emergency preparedness stock management and supply processes
• Assist in market assessments for emergency items like cholera beds and water purification materials
• Provide technical support for construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of infrastructure
• Monitor logistics orders, supply chain processes, inventory, procurement, and equipment management

Requirements

Education:

• Essential: Technical Diploma
• Desirable: Specialization in Water & Sanitation

Experience:

• Experience in technical works and managing multiple activities
• Experience with MSF or similar humanitarian organizations is an advantage

Languages:

• Essential: English
• Desirable: Hausa

Contract & Benefits

• 208 working hours per month
• Salary based on MSF scale
• 13th-month allowance (equivalent to one month gross salary)
