Apply Now: Green Leaders Fellowship 2026

The Green Institute is launching the Officially Green Leaders Fellowship, a fully funded national program to find and develop one outstanding sustainability leader from each of Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This fellowship gathers emerging climate advocates, sustainability professionals, and community changemakers for an intensive week of leadership training. It also includes teamwork and planning to create action strategies for sustainability.

Fellowship Details

• Selection: 37 leaders will be chosen through a competitive, merit-based process.
• Program: A residential training program focused on climate governance, policy tools, and state-level sustainability strategies.
• Role: After the program, each fellow becomes the Officially Green State Lead, responsible for carrying out a 12-month sustainability action plan in their state.

Fellows will also help create their State Sustainability Cabinet with roles such as Renewable Energy Lead, Climate Education Coordinator, Biodiversity Officer, and more.

Who Should Apply?
