NITDA Innovation Challenge 1.0

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) today transformed its headquarters in Abuja into a hub of creativity and excitement as it hosted the Grand Finale of the NITDA Innovation Challenge 1.0, also known as the Innovation Fair.

The event brought together NYSC Members and Interns with brilliant and innovative minds serving at NITDA to showcase how technology can be used to solve real problems and improve lives.

For NITDA, innovation is not a buzzword, it is the lifeblood of its mission. The agency continues to build an environment where creativity thrives, where young minds are empowered to design solutions that tackle real societal challenges, and where technology becomes a tool for national transformation.

In his keynote address, the Director General of NITDA, @KashifuInuwa, painted a picture of a Nigeria where youth innovation drives progress. He emphasised that NITDA is not just a government agency, it is an innovation partner, a launchpad for the next generation of digital entrepreneurs.

AT NITDA, we support Corps members and Interns to nurture their ideas to impact during their NYSC service, provide testing grounds for new technologies, foster a culture where creativity is encouraged, ideas are tested, refined, and scaled for real-world impact.

He commended all the participating teams for their creativity and resilience, describing them as winners for daring to dream and innovate. He encouraged them to continue exploring new possibilities and to keep building solutions that will define Nigeria’s digital future.
