How to Apply for Civil Defence Recruitment with a Degree and HND Qualification

Available Positions for Degree and HND Holders

Degree and HND holders are eligible to apply under the Superintendent Cadre and Inspectorate Cadre, depending on your specific qualification and field of study.

1. Superintendent Cadre (For Degree Holders Only)

• Position: Assistant Superintendent of Corps II (ASCII)

  • Salary Structure: CONPASS 08

  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university

  • Acceptable Fields:

    • Humanities

    • Social Sciences

    • Psychology

    • Estate/Town Planning

    • Public Health

    • Food Sciences

    • Social Work

    • Criminology

    • Security Studies

    • Operational Research, etc.

2. Inspectorate Cadre (For HND Holders)

• Position: Senior Inspector of Corps (SIC)

  • Salary Structure: CONPASS 08

  • Qualification: Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution

• Position: Inspector of Corps (IC)

  • Qualification: Also open to NCE and Registered Nurse/Midwife holders

General Requirements for All Applicants

To be eligible for any of the above positions, candidates must meet the following conditions:

• Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth

• Age between 18 and 30 years

• Must be physically and mentally fit

• Present a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital

• Must be of good character and free from any criminal conviction

• Not a member of any secret society, cult, or drug group

• Not involved in any financial embarrassment

• Minimum height:

  • 1.65 meters for males

  • 1.60 meters for females

• Chest measurement for males must not be less than 0.87 meters

• Computer literacy is an added advantage
