How to Apply for Civil Defence Recruitment with an NCE or ND Qualification

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has opened its portal for nationwide recruitment through the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Service Board (CDFIPB). If you are an NCE or ND holder, here’s a guide to help you understand the categories available to you and how to apply.

Eligible Positions for NCE and ND Holders

As an applicant with NCE or ND, you are qualified to apply under the Inspectorate Cadre, specifically in the General Duty and Medical and Health Services categories.

1. General Duty – Inspectorate Cadre

• Inspector of Corps (IC)

  • Qualification: NCE in any field from a recognized institution.

  • Alternative qualification: Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse/Midwife (RNM).

  • Salary Structure: CONPASS (Consolidated Paramilitary Salary Structure).

• Assistant Inspector of Corps (AIC)

  • Qualification: National Diploma (ND) obtained from recognized Polytechnics or institutions.

  • Also open to those with Certificates in Community Health, Pharmacy, or Health Education.

2. Medical and Health Services – Inspectorate Cadre

• Assistant Inspector of Corps (AIC)

  • Qualification: ND in fields such as:

    • Community Health

    • Medical Records

    • Pharmacy

    • Food and Nutrition

    • Health Education

    • Health Information Management

    • Laboratory Technology

    • Environmental Technology, etc.

General Application Requirements

To be eligible, you must also meet the following general requirements:

• Be a Nigerian citizen by birth

• Be between 18 and 30 years old

• Be physically and medically fit

• Present a certificate of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital

• Not have any criminal conviction

• Not be involved in secret cults, drug abuse, or financial crimes

• Minimum height:

  • 1.65m for males

  • 1.60m for females

• Chest measurement for men must not be less than 0.87m

• Computer literacy is an added advantage

2. Fill and submit the online application form

3. Print the Referee Forms:
   These must be duly completed and submitted during screening.

4. Avoid multiple applications:
   Any candidate who applies more than once will be automatically disqualified.
