Propcom+ Launches Lucrative Research Contract for Climate-Resilient Seed Survey—Apply Now

Propcom+, implemented by Palladium with support from the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), has opened a significant contract opportunity for agricultural research in Nigeria. The contract seeks a research firm or independent consultant to conduct baseline and end-line surveys on a rural seed promotion program promoting climate-resilient seeds.

Key Details:

• The contract period is from September 17, 2026, to April 30, 2027.
• This is a Request for Proposal (RFP), meaning interested parties must submit detailed plans and budgets.
• No fixed salary is provided; applicants propose their fees covering consultancy, data collection, transport, training, and other costs.
• The lead consultant must hold an advanced degree in Social Sciences or related fields. Secondary school certificates, diplomas, or first degrees alone do not meet the lead consultant criteria.
• Applicants with lower qualifications may join as team members or data collectors.

About the Contract: The contract involves conducting two surveys:

• Baseline Survey (Sept–Oct 2026): Collect data from 700 farmers before program implementation.
• Outcome Survey (Feb–Apr 2027): Interview 1,500 farmers, including participants and a comparison group.

Surveys will cover two states in Northern Nigeria, focusing on major crops like rice, maize, and beans, using rigorous quasi-experimental methods to ensure accurate impact assessment.

Eligibility & Requirements:

• Advanced degree in relevant fields
• Proven experience with agricultural baseline studies, especially in Northern Nigeria
• Expertise in quasi-experimental research and large-scale data collection
• Proficiency in data tools such as Excel and KoboToolbox
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
