Role Overview:

The State Programme Officer supports the State Programme Manager and state team to coordinate and implement Lafiya Nigeria's family planning initiatives. Key responsibilities include supervising community health workers known as Lafiya Sisters, providing coaching and training, and collaborating with government health agencies and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate state-level program activities
• Ensure timely and quality implementation of activities
• Provide training, mentorship, and supervision to Lafiya Sisters
• Monitor community health workers’ performance
• Organize training sessions and service improvement activities
• Collaborate with state health departments, local governments, and partners
• Manage family planning commodity supply, tracking stock levels and distribution
• Maintain accurate program records and reports
• Conduct field visits to health centers and communities

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Management, or related fields
• At least 3 years of experience managing programs in public health, community development, or related sectors in Nigeria
• Experience working with government institutions and community health programs
• Skills in staff management and program implementation
• Proficient in communication, planning, and collaboration
• Ability to use Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking
• Fluent in English and at least one local language spoken in the target state
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
• Experience with data collection tools like SurveyCTO and knowledge of logistics or supply chain management is an advantage

Salary and Benefits:

• Monthly gross salary ranges from ₦1,000,000 to ₦1,150,000
