About the Farmer Liaison Officer Role

The Farmer Liaison Officer will serve as a link between the Maltina Barley Programme and farming communities.

Successful candidates will work closely with smallholder farmers to support barley production, encourage improved agricultural practices and help strengthen communication between farmers and programme coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

Selected Farmer Liaison Officers will:

• Build and maintain relationships with smallholder farmers.

• Support farmers in adopting improved agricultural practices.

• Monitor farming activities and provide progress reports.

• Assist with farmer training and capacity-building activities.

• Communicate farmers' needs and feedback to programme coordinators.

• Encourage the adoption of improved farming techniques.

• Support programme activities at the community level.

Requirements

Interested candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum qualification of ND or NCE in any field.

• Must be fluent in Hausa.

• Strong interest in agriculture and supporting rural communities.

• Ability to work effectively in field environments.

• Willingness to relocate where necessary.

• Good communication and community engagement skills.
