About the Role

The Sales Specialists Trainee will receive structured training and practical experience in:

• Banking sales

• Customer acquisition

• Relationship management

• Financial product promotion

• Business development

The successful candidates will work with the sales team to identify potential customers, promote banking products and services, support customer onboarding, generate leads, and contribute to achieving business targets.

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will:

• Participate actively in sales and banking training programmes.

• Learn banking products, services, policies, and sales processes.

• Identify and approach potential individual and corporate customers.

• Promote financial products such as:

  • Bank accounts

  • Loans

  • Cards

  • Digital banking solutions

  • Deposits

  • Other financial services

• Support customer onboarding and account activation.

• Generate leads and follow up with potential customers.

• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.

• Assist senior sales specialists in achieving sales targets.

• Conduct market research to identify business opportunities.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.

• Ensure proper completion of customer documentation.

• Comply with banking regulations, KYC requirements, and company policies.

• Handle customer enquiries professionally.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Business Administration

  • Marketing

  • Finance

  • Economics

  • Banking and Finance

  • Related fields

• NYSC completion or exemption where applicable.

• Previous sales or banking experience is an advantage but not compulsory.

• Strong interest in sales, business development, and financial services.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.

• Good customer service and relationship management skills.

• Ability to work with targets and in a performance-driven environment.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
