Are you a young, passionate Nigerian eager to lead the charge for education reform? Quality Education Development Associates (QEDA), in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, Unveiling Africa, and SEED Care & Support Foundation, is proud to announce the call for applications for the Youth Vanguards for Education (YVE) Fellowship Program 2026.

About the YVE Fellowship

Education is the cornerstone of human capital development, yet Nigeria faces a critical learning crisis. Currently, over 70% of Nigerian children experience "learning poverty." While youth are driving change in many sectors, there is a significant gap in youth-led advocacy for education.

The YVE Fellowship is a six-month intensive program designed to bridge this gap. It empowers young change-makers with evidence-based knowledge, skills, and resources to become effective agents of education development through advocacy and innovation.

Program Structure

The fellowship is divided into two impactful phases:

• Phase One (2 Months): Comprehensive virtual training covering Leadership, Soft Skills, Africanization, School Safeguarding, Climate Education, Advocacy, and Early Grade Reading.

• Phase Two: A school immersion internship program and the implementation of a "Pet Project" of your choice to gain first-hand experience in driving reform at scale.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Age: Between 18 and 32 years.

• Nationality: Nigerian.

• Education: Must hold a minimum of a university degree or its equivalent.

• Availability: Must be available for 6 hours of online sessions per week (Phase 1) and a full-term school immersion program (Phase 2).

• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated commitment to hands-on leadership and education reform.
