Job Opportunity: Data Collector at Malaria Consortium Nigeria[Abuja (FCT), Bauchi, Borno, Kebbi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Oyo, Plateau, Sokoto, Zamfara]

Malaria Consortium, a leading nonprofit organization specializing in malaria control and other communicable diseases, is recruiting LQAS Data Collectors across multiple Nigerian states.

Locations:

Abuja (FCT), Bauchi, Borno, Kebbi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Oyo, Plateau, Sokoto, Zamfara

Purpose:

To carry out data collection for End of Cycle (EoC) evaluation using the Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) approach. The evaluation will assess Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) coverage and adherence by community drug distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in training on SMC, data collection methods, and use of electronic tools
  • Conduct household interviews using SurveyCTO
  • Upload daily completed surveys to the server
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality
  • Follow ethical research standards and obtain informed consent
  • Address feedback promptly to correct data errors

Requirements:

  • Minimum BSc or HND in Social Sciences, Health or related fields
  • Experience in public health research and data collection
  • Familiarity with digital data collection tools (phones/tablets)
  • Previous LQAS survey experience is a plus
  • Ability to speak local languages (Yoruba, Hausa, Kanuri, etc.)
  • Knowledge of community culture and terrain
  • Must be female or mixed gender in selected states
  • Must not be government or SMC staff or blacklisted from previous LQAS activities
