Federal Government Reopens Second Phase of TVET Program – How to Select Your Training Center

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially reopened the second phase (Cohort/Batch) of the TVET program, providing another great opportunity for youth across the country to acquire valuable technical skills and receive monthly stipends of ₦22,500.

Step-by-Step Guide to Selecting Your Training Center:

1. Log In to the Official TVET Portal:
   Visit https://www.tvet.education.gov.ng/

2. Apply Now:
   Scroll down to find the “Apply Now” button and click it.

3. Register or Log In:
   If you’ve already applied, simply log in. If not, create a new account by registering.

4. Agree to Terms & Conditions:
   A pop-up menu will appear with the Terms & Conditions. Scroll down and click “I Agree.”

5. Enter Personal Details:
   Fill in your current address, state, Local Government Area (LGA) of residence, email, and phone number, then click “Proceed.”

6. Select Skill & Survey:
   Click “Select Skill” to view all available skills in the program. Choose your desired skill and click “Proceed.” Note that training duration varies between 6 to 12 months depending on the skill.

7. Complete the Quick Survey:
   Answer three questions about your selected skill:

   • Rate your proficiency (select “Average”)
   • Frequency of applying the skill daily (select “Occasionally”)
   • Motivation for learning the skill (e.g., “To uplift my skills” or “To scale up my business”)
     Then click “Proceed.”

8. Selecting the Training Center (Common Issue):
   This step can be tricky as some centers may not be available. If you encounter unavailable centers, try changing your selected skill, state, or local government area repeatedly until you find available centers. Some known available centers are located in Lagos, Zamfara, and Borno.
