Today, September 13, 2023, Latest Updates on 2023 Population and Housing Census

Today, the Chairman of natpopcom, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra led NPC delegation for a high-level interactive meeting with the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa and his team at the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development office in Abuja.

The meeting was to discuss areas of collaboration towards the upcoming Nigeria Population and Housing Census, especially with regard to generating reliable, comprehensive and up-to-date housing data for housing policy design and planning.

In preparation for the forthcoming first digital and green census in Nigeria, NPC has through the Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD), captured the information and geo-coordinates of all buildings in the country, totalling 65,475,250 buildings.

By working together, the Commission will through the next census, provide the Ministry with credible and correct data to address housing deficit and other housing needs in the country.
