Opportunities for Nigerian Students: MTN Scholarships for Science & Technology, and Blind Students

Institution of Study

MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) and MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to Nigerian students in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institution (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).

Course of Study and Level of Study

The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is available to 300 level students enrolled in Science and Technology-related courses at Nigerian public tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. 

The MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to blind students at the 200 and 300 levels studying any course at Nigerian public tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)

The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) requires STEM students in public universities and colleges of education to have a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5. STEM students in public polytechnics need a minimum CGPA of 3.0 from the OND program and admission into the HND program. 

Direct entry STEM students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 from the OND program and admission into the third year of a public university. 

The MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) requires blind students in universities or colleges of education to have a minimum CGPA of 2.5. 

Blind students in public polytechnics need a minimum CGPA of 2.0 from the OND program and admission into the HND program.
