Job Opportunity: Field Survey Supervisor at WeLight Nigeria

WeLight Nigeria is seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Survey Supervisor (FSS) to lead field data collection activities aimed at assessing electricity demand in rural communities. This role is operationally intensive and involves managing teams, coordinating data, ensuring quality control, and engaging with local communities.

Job Summary:
The Field Survey Supervisor will plan and execute field surveys across multiple communities, oversee data collection, and ensure high-quality datasets for load demand estimation. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in remote rural environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct field surveys using the Welight methodology
• Recruit, train, and supervise field support workers and surveyors
• Assign daily targets and monitor team performance
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with survey standards
• Engage local leaders to facilitate project activities and community cooperation
• Identify viable sites and support the Geomarketing team
• Adhere to survey methodologies and report progress to the Geomarketing Lead

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Degree with at least 3 years of mid-level experience
• Proven experience managing field teams
• Strong organizational, coordination, and data quality skills
• Ability to work in remote and rural settings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with digital survey and data collection tools
• Good understanding of community entry strategies
• Fluency in English

Work Details:

• Contract position with a rotating schedule
