NDDC (Niger Delta Development Commission) Foreign Post-Graduate (Master's Degree) Scholarships 2026/2027 – Now Accepting Applications
To further boost human resource development in the Niger Delta region, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is once again launching its Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship Programme. This initiative aims to equip young people with relevant training and skills for effective participation in the Federal Government’s local content programme, as well as to enable them to acquire specialization in their fields of study and compete globally in various professional disciplines.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
- Application opens: March 23, 2026
- Application deadline: April 19, 2026
MODE OF APPLICATION:
Applicants are required to submit their applications online through the Commission’s website: www.nddc.gov.ng.
The following documents must be attached to the application:
- Recent passport photograph
- Local Government Identification Letter
- Postgraduate Admission Letter from a recognized overseas university
- Relevant degrees from recognized universities
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
Upon successful submission of the application, a registration number will be automatically assigned. Applicants should print a hard copy of the online acknowledgment for future reference. All shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Prospective and qualified candidates should visit the NDDC website: www.nddc.gov.ng
ELIGIBILITY:
- Applicants must hail from the Niger Delta Region.
- Applicants must have achieved a First Class Degree or a Second Class Upper Division.
- Applicants must be 40 years old or younger.
SELECTION PROCESS:
- Initial Application: Submit an online application via the Commission’s website.
- Preliminary Shortlisting: Based on:
- WASSCE/NECO results
- Undergraduate degree classification (First Class or Second Class Upper Division)
- Local Government Identification
- Computer-Based Test: Shortlisted candidates will take a computer-based test conducted by consultants in Rivers State.
- Minimum Test Score: Candidates must score at least 70% to proceed.
- Further Shortlisting: Candidates who pass the test will be shortlisted again.
- Final Verification: Verification will be done through the Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee (CDC).
NOTE:
- Preference will be given to candidates from Oil Producing Host Communities/Local Government Areas, provided they meet the cut-off marks.
- The Commission will ensure fair distribution of courses among beneficiaries in each State.
- Deferment, change of institution, and change of course are not permitted.
- The NDDC will not communicate with candidates who are not shortlisted for the Computer-Based Test, oral interview, or those not successful in interviews.
- The Commission reserves the right to make final decisions regarding selection.
