INEC 2026 Ad-Hoc Staff Jobs Vacancies: How to Apply, Registration Portal, and Eligibility

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) invites eligible Nigerians residing in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to apply for various ad-hoc positions for the 2026 FCT Area Council Election.

Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria

Ad-Hoc Position	Source Institution	Qualification/Eligibility
Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs)	Federal Public/Civil Service & MDAs	INEC permanent staff on Grade Level (GL) 10-14; RAOs & other INEC permanent staff not engaged in other duties (GL09-14)
Presiding Officers (POs) / Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs)	NYSC, INEC Staff, MDAs, Federal Tertiary Students	Former NYSC serving corps members (within 4 years post-service: 2022-2025); INEC staff on GL 07-08; Federal tertiary students with OND or on GL 07-10; Penultimate students with appropriate endorsement from school authorities
Registration Area Centre (RAC) Managers	School/institution hosting the RAC or Super RAC	Head of school or suitable staff on GL 07 and above
Registration Area Technical Support Staff (RATECHSS)	INEC Staff only	Suitable INEC ICT staff (States & HQ) not engaged in other election duties

Important Notes:

• Applicants must reside in the FCT for all positions except RATECHSS (who must be INEC staff).
• Applicants must not be members of any political party or have shown support for any candidate or party.
