About the NHF Fellowship

The NHF Fellowship is a leadership and professional development initiative under the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (SWAp Coordination Office) of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The programme aims to empower dedicated Nigerians who want to improve primary healthcare delivery, strengthen community health systems, and make a lasting impact in their local communities.

Fellowship Benefits

• Monthly Allowance: ₦150,000 per month for 12 months

• Leadership Training: Fellows undergo professional capacity-building sessions in public health leadership, governance, and innovation.

• Community Impact: Fellows will be deployed to Local Government Areas (LGAs) within their state of origin to support health initiatives and strengthen local systems.

Selection Process

The NHF Programme uses a transparent and merit-based selection process consisting of three stages:

1. Application Submission – Complete the online form with accurate details and required documents.

2. Interview and Screening – Shortlisted candidates will be invited for virtual and physical interviews.

3. Final Selection and Offer – Successful applicants will receive an official offer and onboarding information.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be Nigerian citizens.

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or higher is an advantage).

• Have a background or interest in healthcare, IT, or social development.

• Be residents of the state they are applying from and must apply to an LGA within their state of origin.

• Have basic digital literacy (ability to use WhatsApp, Zoom, and other online tools).
