How to Prepare Palmiers

2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
10 tablespoons butter, cold
1/3 cup of ice cold water
How to make the Fillings
Minced meat

Boiled potatoes
1/2 tsp curry

Stock cube to taste
Black pepper to taste

Pinch of salt
1 tbsp veg oil
1 egg

1. In a medium bowl, add flour and salt. Stir to mix
2. Next, cube the butter and then add it to the flour bowl. With your hands work the ingredients until butter is well incorporated. It will be very crumbly.
3. Make a hole in the centre of the dough and pour in all of the water. Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.

5. In a pan, heat the veg oil over medium heat then add the garlic, and minced meat break it up with spoon. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, until browned.
6. Add curry, stock cubes, pinch of salt, black pepper and grated potato (boiled potatoes). Stir everything together and cook for 2 minutes. Let the meat mixture cool slightly.

7. Roll out your dough on a floured surface until it is as thin as you can get it. Brush the dough with egg and spread the meat mixture over the dough.
8. starting at the right side, roll the dough until it reaches the centre. Repeat with the left side.
9. Cut roll into 1 inch segments. Place each palmier on baking sheet.
10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
