Nonprofits around the world have told us that they need access to digital tools to continue operations, maintain productivity, and raise awareness. Last month we expanded Google for Nonprofits to an additional six countries, and today we’re adding ten more across the globe: Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana, Pakistan, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Malta, Cyprus, Iceland and Ecuador.

Google for Nonprofits is now available in 67 countries, receiving over 1,000 new applications each week from organizations around the world. After last month’s expansion, we chatted with a few nonprofits to see how they’re using Google for Nonprofits.

What you need to know before you get started

Before requesting a Google for Nonprofits account, find out if your organization qualifies, what you’ll need for verification, and what to expect.

Who's eligible

To request a Google for Nonprofits account, you must be a nonprofit charitable organization in good standing, and meet the full eligibility requirements in your country.

Please note, some types of organizations are not eligible and will not be verified. Please confirm your organization is:

1. Not a governmental entity or organization

2. Not a hospital or healthcare organization

3. Not a school, academic institution, or university (Google for Education offers a separate program for schools)

Start the verification process

As part of requesting a Google for Nonprofits account, you’ll need to register your organization with TechSoup. They handle the nonprofit verification process for our program.

If you’re not currently registered, you’ll be able to register once you start the request for a Google for Nonprofits account.

If you’re already registered with TechSoup, you’ll just need your verification token to use during your request.
